We are a recreational group dedicated to enjoying and teaching traditional Scandinavian dance. We dance and teach couple dances and lively mixers from all five Scandinavian countries. Each Monday typically brings
out 30 or more dancers of all abilities.

Happening This Week - January 8, 2018
Happy new year dance friends! We’re back, we’re rested, and ready to go.
It has now been a few weeks since our last get-together, and some of us are anxious to get launched into the new year.
So here’s how we’re going to start the year: This Monday we will have our annual Knut Dance to acknowledge and celebrate the end of the holiday season and move into the year ahead. To that end, we will dance to live music provided by Fossegrimmen, our friends from Eugene. This is a very fine group who will place tunes for all the dances we have taken time to learn. If you’ve not experienced Fossegrimmen I think you will be pleased to enjoy them this year.
Folk costumes are encouraged, and you are invited to bring your favorite finger-food to share at this festive event.
There will be no lessons this week. For non-members there is a modest admission fee, but members enjoy the benefit of free admission. The same applies to Leikarringen members. Dance starts at 7:30 pm.
Membership Due October 1! or Now!
Yearly membership for Norske Runddansere are due by Oct. 1. Only $60! This is a fabulous dance deal (little more than $1/week). Memberships are pro-rated if you join later in the year- it's never to late to join and start saving.
Thank You Musicians!
A big thanks to the musicians who play a few tunes for us almost every Monday! It really livens things up.
Why? These days our membership fees are just almost enough to meet our expenses. We didn't want to raise them this year, so we're putting a donation jar on the entry table and hoping for the best! If you can help, thank you!
Monday dances September through May are from 7-10 pm. These dances include a free lesson from 7:30 to 8:30. Summer Monday dances start at 7:30 and do not include lessons. Admission is $5 per person or yearly membership is $60 (pro-rated for folks who start later in the year) — a great deal! We dance at Nordia House, 8800 SW Oleson Rd, Portland. Click here for map.
