We are a recreational group dedicated to enjoying and teaching traditional Scandinavian dance. We dance and teach couple dances and lively mixers from all five Nordic countries. Each Monday typically brings out 30 or more dancers of all abilities. We dance at Nordia House, 8800 SW Oleson Rd, Portland. Click here for map.

Happening December 10th, 2018
What great fun we had last Monday reviewing the dances Johanna and Paul have taught us.
Today we are switching teachers to Louise Beauchamp and Keith Masterson, freshly in from the slopes of Colorado. They will teach to us the Slängpolska from Småland which is from Sweden and the Norwegian Knut Arne's Reinlender. Those are fun dances and often requested.
Liz will be the DJ. She is always great in selecting dances which many can do and love to dance.
We had a successful ScanFair last weekend (12/1-12/2) and many people showed interest in our group.
Now of course we are looking forward to our 30th and last SnoBall at Mazama Lodge on Mt. Hood. You could still sign up but you would have to do this today and pay me, Veronika, so I can add you to the registration list (today!). We have some middle bunks left and 9 more spots for dinner/dance. See the flyer/ more info on our Snoball page. Hope to see you there!
Monday dances: September-May there is a free lesson from 7:30 to 8:30, with open request dancing to 10pm. Summer Monday dances start at 7:30, but there are no lessons in summer. There is also usually some warm-up time from 7:00-7:30. Admission is $5 per person or see below about yearly memberships.
Become a Member - It's a Great Deal
Yearly membership for Norske Runddansere is $60 per year, starting October 1st. This is a fabulous dance deal (little more than $1/week). Memberships are pro-rated if you join later in the year. It's never to late to join and start saving.
Thank You Musicians and DJs!
A big thanks to those who play tunes for us every Monday!
Why? These days our membership fees are just almost enough to meet our expenses. We didn't want to raise them this year, so we're putting a donation jar on the entry table and hoping for the best! If you can help, thank you!
We also have our own teaching DVDs for sale (set of two for $10) and our new sturdy shoe bags for $10 each if you want to contribute that way!
