Happening this week 12.4.2023Hello dance friends,
At Nordia House we’ll be staying with the Norwegian dance culture this week. Telegangar -- a Gangar from the region of Telemark -- in the broadest terms is a walking dance. But a walking dance with figures and a wide range of complexity. In even its basic introductory form it is a perfectly fine and lovely dance that a beginning dancer can enjoy. And as your knowledge and skills develop, you’ll find joy with additional free-form figures to add. This is a splendid dance, and the accompanying music can be a driving force. We are fortunate to have Joan Bennett and John Scott guiding us through this very interesting dance. Don’t be late for this lesson which begins promptly at 7:15 pm. And after the teaching we will have open dancing at 8:15 pm with music by our terrific local musicians. And remember, they are not paid so be sure to let them know they are appreciated. See you there ! Upcoming Events*Goat Market November 25 (Come and dance! See Flyer Here. More Info Here)
Become a Member (click here)Annual memberships are available. The fiscal year starts October 1st at a rate of $100. That's still only about $2.25 per dance if you attend them all, which is a great deal! In January our pro-rate schedule begins, and we also have other special discounts for those who need it, like students. It's never too late to join and start saving. Contact us at info@norskerunddansere.org for more information.
Notice To Our Current Members: Thank you for your continued loyalty and support of our group. The Board continues to look for ways to stay in touch with you all, and to monitor state guidelines for safe gatherings in the future. Links to our Resources Pages:
