Norske Runddansere. Scandinavian Dance for Portland.
Fall, when a young man’s fancy lightly turns to thoughts of….Scandinavian dance*
Yes, fall is the best season to begin learning Scandinavian dance in Portland! Why? Because every September we start our teaching year with the easiest dances. This year our first lesson will be September 13. David Charlebois will lead us through some basic steps, partnering, holds, listening to music and more. All with fun exercises and frequent partner changes. The following week John Campbell teaches Schottis/Reinlender and then David is back to teach Snoa, and soon we’ll be moving on to Hambo and Polska, the fabulous turning dances that everyone wants to learn.
